Privacy Policy

StaanIQ ("we", "us") provides an SEO optimisation service for WordPress websites, consisting of a WordPress plugin and a connected web application. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to staaniq.com, the StaanIQ web application, and the StaanIQ WordPress plugin.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and billing details when you create an account or subscribe. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.
• Website content data: when you connect your WordPress site, the plugin syncs page and post metadata needed to analyse and improve SEO — titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, and related content structure. We store prior values ("snapshots") of anything we change so that every change can be rolled back.
• Google Search Console data: if you connect Google Search Console, we access search performance data for your verified properties (queries, pages, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position) using read-only access. See "Google user data" below.
• Usage data: basic product analytics (pages viewed in our dashboard, features used) and technical logs used to keep the service secure and reliable.

Google user data

StaanIQ requests read-only access to the Google Search Console API for the properties you choose to connect. We use this data solely to identify SEO opportunities on your website, to prioritise proposed fixes, and to report the measured results of applied fixes back to you.

• We do not sell Google user data.
• We do not use Google user data for advertising.
• We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service you have requested, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with prior notice to you.
• Human access to this data is restricted to what is necessary for security, support you request, or legal compliance.
• You can disconnect Google Search Console at any time from your StaanIQ dashboard, or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. On disconnection, we delete the associated Search Console data from our systems within 30 days.

How we use information

We use the data above to operate the service: analysing your site, drafting proposed SEO fixes, applying only the fixes you approve, measuring outcomes, providing support, and billing. We use aggregated, de-identified information to improve the product. We do not sell personal information.

Data sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run StaanIQ — hosting, payment processing (as merchant of record), email delivery, and AI processing used to draft proposed fixes — each bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and only to the extent needed to provide the service.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. If you cancel, rollback snapshots remain available to you for 30 days, after which account data is deleted or de-identified within 90 days. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@staaniq.com.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access tokens are stored encrypted, and communication between your WordPress site and StaanIQ is authenticated per site.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us at hello@staaniq.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children

StaanIQ is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email.
